We are grateful to have an incredible and generous community at Landels.  With your contributions we are able to provide technology, assemblies, field trips, playground equipment, and so much more!

Landels families are invited to contribute anytime throughout the year by making donations to the PTA.  It’s through your contributions that we are able to make great things happen for our community.

We’re often asked what would be an appropriate amount to give. As a guide, the PTA spends about $250 per student per school year, but not all families are in a position to donate so we especially appreciate donors that choose to sponsor another child.

How to Donate

Many families find donating online to be the most convenient, while others ask us how to save on fees to maximize the impact that their donation has on our programs. Following are the most common ways to give financially:

  • Via PayPal (2.2% fees)

  • Via our online store or our Walkathon link (3% fees)

  • Via Totem, when you join or renew your membership (5% fees)

  • Via Check made payable to “Edith Landels Elementary PTA” (0% fees)

    • Tax Receipts will be provided for any donation $250 or more, and for any amount upon request

  • Via one-time or recurring payroll deduction, with a service like Benevity or Bright Funds

  • Via a Donor Advised Fund

    • Look us up by our tax ID: #94-264-1692

    • Please indicate your or your child’s name so we can acknowledge your gift. It’s most helpful to provide gifts that are unrestricted or “where it’s needed most”.

Employer Matching Gifts

Corporate matching gifts are a great way to often double or even triple your own gift to Landels. Many companies will match your employee contributions to Landels.

Some tips on corporate giving and matching:

Double your donation

  • If you have already donated through our online store or via cash or check, you can simply make a match request on your company's giving portal. You will need a copy of your donation receipt as well as our name (Landels PTA) and our tax ID (94-264-1692).

    • Note that some corporate systems show a different name for the PTA, so make sure to search and validate using our tax ID.

  • If you donate directly through your company's giving portal, they will automatically send a match donation to the PTA.

    • Make sure you add your name and the name of your child(ren) in the note to enable easier tracking on our end.

    Triple your donation

  • If you and your spouse both work for companies that have corporate matching, you can request matching from both companies!

    • If your spouse is the one who made the donation, when you request matching from your company, just make sure to attach a note to explain that the original donation came from your spouse.

Below is just a partial listing of companies that have been known to match their employees' donations.   Companies revise their matching programs regularly so please contact your Human Resources department and ask them if they offer a Matching Gift Program and if your donation to Landels is eligible.  Often, you just fill out a brief form on your corporate web site or request one from your HR contact and deliver to the office.
